Hand Embroidery

Hand embroidery has existed since ages as a craft of decoration that is done on fabric using needle to sow thread or yarn in different parts of the world. These hand stitches are also known as “ Tanka “ and are of various types such as chain stitch, buttonhole stitch,  blanket stitch, running stitch, satin stitch and cross stitch. A needle is the main stitching tool in embroidery, and comes in various sizes and types. The fabrics and yarns used in traditional embroidery vary from place to place. Wool, linen, and silk have been in use for thousands of years for both fabric and yarn.

These hand 6embroidery techniques have lasted till date and used by many designers in order to enhance the beauty of their creations. We believe, that hand embroidery has become comparatively popular now as people are able to share their arts and crafts through social media platforms more efficiently. We have also incorporated some hand embroidery/ tanka designs in our collection for those who are enthusiastic about such designs on the clothes they wear.

The process is completely manual which gives exclusivity and originality to every article and stitches are freely combined in unconventional ways to create various textures and pattern.
